England have made the World Cup semifinals, eliminating Norway 2-1 in extra time sapping heat in Miami.
The scores were locked at 1-all at full-time, so the match went to a 30 minute extra time period.
Jude Bellingham scored in the third minute of extra time when Norway goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland couldn't hold a shot from England midfielder Morgan Rogers and Bellingham pounced on the loose ball to score.
England thought they had a penalty opportunity six minutes later but VAR ruled against them.
That was a reprieve for Norway, but in the end they couldn't equalise and the England fans erupted in joy at the final whistle.
It had all looked so promising for Norway when Andreas Schjelderup opened the scoring in the 36th minute of the first half, but Bellingham equalised in the 42nd minute to lock up the scores at halftime.
Neither team could break that deadlock in the second half.
England advance to a semifinal against either Argentina or Switzerland in Atlanta on Wednesday, with those teams clashing in their quarterfinal this afternoon.
