Government and Opposition MPs traded parliamentary debates for volleyball rallies as they took part in a friendly match ahead of this year’s BOV Volleyball Marathon in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza.
The exhibition match brought politicians from both sides of the House together with players to help raise awareness for the annual fundraising event, which will take place between 16th and 18th July at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali.
Founded by Mgr Michael Azzopardi in 1965, Id-Dar tal-Providenza provides residential services for people with disabilities, offering a family-like environment that supports independence, personal development and inclusion in society.
Sharing photos from the event, Id-Dar tal-Providenza thanked everyone who took part, saying: “Having the support of our politicians too is key to helping spread the word about our cause.”
The BOV Volleyball Marathon is one of Malta’s biggest annual charity events, bringing together players, volunteers and the wider community to raise vital funds for the organisation’s work.
Will you be supporting this year’s marathon?
