Landless squatters protest in Kathmandu, demand rehabilitation and release of detainees (Photos)

A protest was held at Maitighar in Kathmandu today, demanding proper settlement and rehabilitation of landless squatters.

The demonstration, organised by the United National Squatters’ Front, brought together landless families and other concerned stakeholders.

The protesters accused the government of failing to address the issues of landless squatters and provide them with proper rehabilitation. They also condemned the arrest of several individuals during the movement and demanded their unconditional release.
