Woman Suffers Grievous Injuries After Car Plunges Into Field In Rabat

The accident happened at around 5.15am on Triq id-Dwejra, when the woman, who was driving a Nissan Qashqai, reportedly lost control of the vehicle for reasons that are still being investigated.

The car ended up falling into a field below road level.

Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team rushed to the scene, assisting the woman before she was rescued from the field and taken to hospital by ambulance.

She was later certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
