Deepa Shree Niraula undergoes successful brain tumour surgery

Kathmandu, July 12

Actress and film director Deepa Shree Niraula has successfully undergone brain tumour surgery. The operation was performed on Tuesday at Annapurna Neuro Hospital in Maitighar by a medical team led by Basanta Pant.

According to her colleague Deepak Raj Giri, Niraula’s condition is improving. He said she has been moved out of the intensive care unit (ICU) and is expected to be discharged after about a week.

Niraula was diagnosed with a brain tumour two weeks ago. “She is recovering well. We are preparing to discharge her after keeping her in the hospital for another week,” Giri said.
