
CEBU CITY, Philippines — National team standouts Erika Burgos and Dayshaun Ramos showcased their dominance as they emerged victorious in the Sun Life 5150 Bohol Triathlon on Sunday, July 12, at The Bellevue Resort in Panglao Island, Bohol.
Burgos successfully defended her crown in the women’s division, capturing another 5150 Bohol title after clocking two hours, 28 minutes, and 38 seconds in the Olympic-distance race, now on its 10th edition.
The multi-time champion completed the 1.5-kilometer swim in 23 minutes and 30 seconds before covering the 40-kilometer bike course in 1:13:48. She sealed the victory with a 46:09 effort in the 10-kilometer run to finish as the overall women’s champion.

Ramos, meanwhile, claimed his first 5150 Bohol men’s elite title and emerged as the overall champion after crossing the finish line in 2:10:02.
He completed the swim in 22:27, the bike in 1:03:27, and the run in 39:06 to top the men’s field.
Santiago, Josh Ramos at no. 2
Former Ironman Philippines and Ironman 70.3 Philippines champion Ines Santiago finished second in the women’s division with a time of 2:33:59, while Nicole Andaya rounded out the podium in 2:35:36.
In the men’s race, Josh Ramos settled for runner-up honors in 2:12:49, while Mervin Rencel Santiago completed the overall podium after finishing third in 2:14:28.
The 5150 Bohol served as the penultimate leg of the four-race Olympic-distance series organized by Sunrise Events Inc. The circuit concludes this September with the 5150 Samal in Davao.

The other men’s age-group champions were Kent Nocete, Ramoga, Fidel Redillas, John Rey Tumanda, Kristiane Lim, Singapore’s Haythem El-Ansary, Ricarte Dayata, Singapore’s Tim Johannessen, Robert Shannon, Duncan Cooper, and Nick Cudmore.
The women’s age-group champions were Jasmine Yap, Bianca Tan, Nicole Andaya, Kriska Sto. Domingo, Ana Isabel Locsin, Catherine Arias, Yvonne Mendoza, and Jo Cudmore.
