The Delta State Police Command has arraigned a brothel owner, Prince Chizoba Ojokwu, 63, before an Asaba Magistrate Court for allegedly allowing his premises to be used as a brothel and procuring women and girls for prostitution.
The police in a statement by its spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said it also arraigned 29 others arrested at the brothel over alleged conducts likely to cause a breach of the peace and for possession of illicit drugs.
Edafe said the suspects were among 202 suspects arrested during an intelligence-led raid on identified black spots, brothels criminal hideout and suspected illicit drug dens in Asaba and neighbouring communities.
He said during preliminary investigations, 172 suspects were screened and released unconditionally while 30 others, including the brothel owner were charged to court.
