7,000 Litres Of Water Used To Tackle Overnight Żabbar Rubbish Fire

Civil Protection Department firefighters were called into action early this morning after a rubbish fire broke out in Żabbar.

Crews from Fire Station 4 responded to the incident at around 1.30am, using approximately 7,000 litres of water to extinguish the blaze and cool the affected area, including all of the waste material involved.

No injuries were reported during the operation.

The Civil Protection Department thanked the Malta Police Force and Mater Dei Hospital’s Emergency Department for their assistance throughout the incident.
