Baron Geisler expressed pride over his daughter Sophia Asistio’s acting debut, saying she inherited the talent for performing from both him and her mother, actress Nadia Montenegro.
Geisler spoke about Sophia during an ambush interview at the finale mediacon of the ABS-CBN action series “Blood vs. Duty” on Monday, July 13, at the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City. The actor portrays SPO4 Felix Domingo in the series.
Asked how he felt about Sophia making her acting debut in Senator Robin Padilla’s film “Bad Boy 3,” Geisler said he was happy that her daughter excels in acting while still maintaining her good grades in school.

“Actually, hindi ko siya kinonvince, si Robin talaga ang may idea. Siya raw ang manager,” Montenegro said during the post-screening talkback session.
Geisler’s latest remarks came after he and Montenegro have gradually rebuilt their relationship as co-parents to Sophia. In August 2025, the erstwhile couple reunited to celebrate Sophia’s 19th birthday, with Geisler’s wife, Jamie Evangelista, also joining the family gathering. Montenegro later shared that Sophia had been spending more time with Geisler and his family.
Their reconciliation followed Montenegro’s confirmation in July 2024 that Geisler is Sophia’s biological father. She also revealed that her late husband, Boy Asistio, had known the truth and that the two had reached closure before his death.
