Milanese police on Monday arrested
six more members of the Latin Kings street gang over the May 26
murder at a Milan train station of a 22-year-old
second-generation Italian of Ecuadorian extraction.
The State Police, coordinated by the Milan Prosecutor's Office,
has executed a precautionary detention order issued against six
young foreigners, a 19-year-old Dominican and five Peruvians
between the ages of 18 and 22, believed, on various counts and
in concert, to be responsible for the murder of Gianluca Ibarra
Silvera, committed near the Milan Certosa train station.
This is the continuation of the investigation conducted by the
Flying Squad of the Milan Police Headquarters, which, on June
5th and 9th, already arrested two suspects, believed to be the
perpetrators of the fatal stabbing.
The measures were carried out in the provinces of Milan and
Monza, where the six targets were located and arrested.
Investigative investigations, conducted by the Second Section
for Foreign Crime and Prostitution, including analysis of video
surveillance footage and testimonies, allowed the investigators
to reconstruct the attack.
According to the findings, the group, belonging to the Latin
King gang, initially surrounded the victim, his brother, and
their friend, then attacked them with rocks, bottles, and
knives, chasing them along the railway tracks.
During the escape, the victim, who fell to the ground, was
reached and struck multiple times with cutting weapons.
