
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has issued three proclamations designating additional parcels of land for inclusion in existing ecozones in Cavite and Batangas and creating a new information technology park in Negros Oriental.
Under Proclamation No. 1337, Marcos designated several parcels of land in Barangays Punta I and Sahud-Ulan in Tanza, Cavite, for inclusion in the existing Suntrust Ecotown Tanza-Special Economic Zone.

This is approximately 331,348 square meters and was designated pursuant to Republic Act No. 7916, or the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995, as amended by Republic Act No. 8748, upon the recommendation of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority.

Additionally, Proclamation No. 1338 designated several parcels of land in Barangays Luta Sur and San Fernando in Malvar, Batangas, for inclusion in the existing Light Industry and Science Park IV-Special Economic Zone.
The expansion covers about 308,065 square meters and is subject to the provisions of Republic Act No. 7916, as amended; its Implementing Rules and Regulations; and PEZA Board Resolution No. 24-275 (s. 2024)
Furthermore, Proclamation No. 1340 created and designated a 60,000-square-meter parcel of land at Dumaguete Business Park in Barangay Calindagan, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, as the Robinsons Dumaguete I.T. Park, a Special Economic Zone (Information Technology Park).
The three proclamations were signed by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto on July 6, by authority of Marcos. /mr
