People flee Bangkok bar as huge flames shoot out from doorway

At least 28 people have died and 25 are critically injured after a fire tore through a bar in a popular Bangkok district.

Footage shared on social media shows several people escaping as huge flames roar from the doorway behind them.

Preliminary investigations by Bangkok's disaster mitigation department suggest the fire could have been caused by an electrical short circuit in an air conditioner, though no official cause has been given.
