Watch: Boat Sinks In Marsalforn As Force 5 Wind Batters Malta And Gozo

A boat has sunk in the middle of Marsalforn Harbour after capsizing amid the strong winds that have swept across Malta and Gozo since this morning.

Footage from the scene shows the vessel almost completely submerged beneath the water, with only a small section remaining visible above the surface.

The incident comes as Force 5/6 winds continue to batter the islands, creating rough sea conditions in several coastal areas throughout the day.

It is not yet clear whether the weather was directly responsible for the boat sinking or whether anyone was on board at the time of the incident.
