‘Off Campus’ Issues Warning Against Harassment Ahead of Season 2
Louisa Levy is checking these numbers.
The Off Campus creator recently addressed rumors that Ella Bright made significantly less money than her male counterpart Belmont Cameli for season one of the hockey romance.
"Check your sources," Levy wrote in a July 10 Instagram comment under the In the Vault podcast clip. "These numbers are far from correct."
The podcast claimed in a June 14 clip that Cameli—who plays Briar University's star center Garrett Graham opposite Bright's Hannah Wells—earned $30,000 per episode, while his costar took home $20,000. Hosts Ali Gray and Shane Sutherland didn't include sourcing for the alleged numbers.
"While this is absolutely an issue in the industry," Levy emphasized, "as a female showrunner, I fight for gender pay parity in my cast."
After all, both Cameli and Bright took center stage during season one of the Amazon series. Based on Elle Kennedy's Off Campus series, the pair brought the heat on and off the ice when hockey star Garrett offered to help Hannah get the attention of brooding musician Justin Kohl (Josh Heuston) in exchange for tutoring sessions to pass a philosophy class. And like most fake dating propositions, real romantic feelings began to take shape between the two characters.
As for season two, with Garrett and Hannah embracing their game-winning happily ever after by the season one finale, her best friend Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) and defensemen Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn)—whose love story is central to Kennedy's third book The Score—are taking center ice in the second installment. Meanwhile, fellow hockey player John Logan (Antonio Cipriano) is also set to meet his love interest Grace Ivers (India Fowler).
Where does that leave season one's leading couple? Don't worry, Levy confirmed the buzzer won't be sounding on Hannah and Garrett's story so soon.

"Sometimes you fall in love with a couple and then you get their happily ever after," she told Entertainment Weekly in May, "and you're like, 'What are they gonna do next season? I don't wanna break them up. But I still wanna watch them.' And we will."
"Hannah and Garrett are still in season two," she added. "They're still gonna be part of it, but their love story is not the thing that's driving the season anymore."
As Off Campus fans wait to see Allie and Dean's friends-with-benefits dynamic unfold in season two, keep reading for stars who have revealed their paychecks.
