Khalaili has failed Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) fitness

tests scotching his move from Belgian outfit Union SG to Inter

Milan, Nerazzurri Chairman Beppe Marotta announced Monday

expressing "great regret."

The Inter president declined to provide further details for

privacy reasons.

"We're sorry," he added.

Khalaili, who has 15 Israel caps, has played 71 times for union

since joining them from Maccabi Haifa two years ago, and has

scored five times for the Belgian club.
