Mobsters who who want to terrorize

Palermo will find themselves faced with a State that strikes,

Premier Giorgia Meloni told a provincial committee for public

order and security in the Sicilian capital Monday after police

arrested 22 people in busting a 'Kalashnikov gang' that had

wreaked havoc in recent months.

"Anyone who thinks they can take Palermo back, or terrorize

those who work honestly, will find themselves faced with a

determined State that acts and strikes," Meloni said this at the

Prefecture in Palermo, reiterating her thanks to the judiciary

and law enforcement for the operation against the Kalashnikov

gang.
