Love Island USA Season 8 Winners Revealed
They came here for love—and now they’re each leaving $50,000 richer.
Indeed, Trinity Tatum and Bryce Detloff were crowned the winners of Love Island USA season eight during the finale on July 13. And while love is the ultimate prize, it helps that the couple got to split the $100,000 prize money in the end.
In previous seasons, the winning pair would draw envelopes containing either $0 or $100,000. The person who pulled the $100,000 card could either keep all the money or choose to split the cash with their partner in the final test of loyalty.
But after seven seasons of couples opting to split the prize each time, Love Island USA chose to remove the money draw and instead divide the cash between Tatum and Detloff by default.
“Trinity and Bryce, you have won as a couple $100,000,” host Ariana Madix announced during the final episode. “The biggest congratulations to you both.”
And the prize money wasn’t the only detail changed in this year’s Love Island USA finale. Typically, the islanders write declarations of love to their partners and read them aloud during the finale, reflecting on their romantic journey and their relationship goals outside of the villa.
Instead, the finalists—which also included runners up Aniya Harvey and Carl Schmidt; third place finishers Melanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea; and fourth place’s Kayda Bosse and Zach Georgiou—took a trip down memory lane, literally. They walked down a path filled with photos of their love stories, leading up to a big screen airing clips of the final four’s collective moments from throughout the summer.

After reminiscing on their season of love, the islanders were played messages of support from family members and famous supporters, including Lizzo, Demi Lovato, Ciara, Jordin Sparks, Kehlani, Sombr, Druski, Kesha and Alex Warren.
As for how Tatum and Detloff felt after winning the show, they gushed about each other, exchanging “I love yous” and expressing shock over the result.
“I’m very glad that he’s always been very patient with me,” Tatum said in the finale. “I’m very blessed. I’m very tongue-tied. Usually I have stuff to say, but I’m like I don’t even know what to say right now.”
