Kyle Sandilands' Glenorie weekend estate gets $800K price cut, becomes one of NSW's most-viewed property listings
Kyle Sandilands' former weekend getaway is drawing significant attention in the property market. The broadcaster's Glenorie estate has become one of New South Wales' most-viewed property listings after receiving an $800,000 price cut.According to realestate. com. au, the property, known as Kingsview Estate, attracted more than 30,000 page views in the past week alone, making it one of the state's most popular listings.
Property price slashed by $800,000
The semi-rural Hills District estate was first listed for sale in late February and was passed in at auction in May. Initially marketed with a price guide of $5.7 million to $5.9 million, the property is now listed for between $4.9 million and $5.1 million.Selling agent Carolyn Wheatley of Belle Property is handling the sale of the 9,469-square-metre estate, which features six bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Sandilands had planned to turn it into a family home
Sandilands, 55, had previously spoken about the property on his KIIS FM radio show before his departure from the network earlier this year. He revealed that he had purchased the estate around three-and-a-half years ago with plans to transform it into a family home through extensive renovations.
Property records show that the radio personality bought the Hills District property in Sydney's northwest for $3 million in August 2022. At the time, reports suggested he intended to build a Hamptons-style family home on the site. The purchase came just weeks before his then-fiancée, now wife, Tegan Kynaston, gave birth to the couple's first child, Otto.
Career moves after radio exit
The sale comes as Sandilands looks to rebuild his career following his departure from The Kyle and Jackie O Show earlier this year.Reports suggest he is preparing to launch an independent streaming program, Kyle Sandilands Live, which will be available through a dedicated app. His longtime manager, Bruno Bouchet, has said the new venture will showcase "a different side to Kyle."The upcoming launch follows Sandilands' reported $12 million legal settlement with former employer Australian Radio Network in June, ending a lawsuit that began after The Kyle and Jackie O Show concluded in February.
