Bachelor in Paradise's Serena Pitt & Joe Amabile Are MARRIED!
Joe Amabile is detailing his latest health scare.
The Bachelorette alum shared that doctors have found "what looks to be an early stage brain tumor" in his head after undergoing multiple MRI scans.
"They ended up finding a lesion in my brain," Amabile said in a video posted on his Instagram July 13. "There was a blueberry-size lesion in my brain that looks to be a glioma, which is a tumor."
The 40-year-old went on to explain that he'll undergo surgery in two weeks to have the lesion removed and "get it tested."
"It's been a wild couple weeks, definitely wasn't expecting this," he continued. "It's one of those things where, 'Oh, something like this never happened to me,' and here I am."
Sharing that he feels "fine" otherwise, Amabile added, "They say it's really early stages. I hope they are able to get it all."
Amabile's wife Serena Pitt—who he married in 2022 after meeting on season seven of Bachelor in Paradise—voiced her support in the comments section of his post, writing, "You’re so strong and we’re going to get through this together. I love you."
Other members of Bachelor Nation also shared supportive words, with Wells Adams commenting, "Love you brother. You got this and we’ve got you!"
"Sending prayers and love man," Jason Tartick shared, while Adam Gottschalk added, "Best 'prevention' is early detection so I’m glad you got these results back in the time you did. Go get em."
But the well wishes didn't stop there. Amabile's former Dancing With the Stars partner Jenna Johnson was taken aback by his health update, writing, "Omg Joe! Sending you all the love and support."

Meanwhile, Alan Bersten showed some love to his "bro."
"Sending you so much positivity and support," the DWTS pro dancer shared in the comments, with his girlfriend Emma Slater adding, "Love you Joe. Always here for you."
A brain lesion is an abnormality seen on an imaging test that don't look like normal brain tissue, according to the Mayo Clinic. The severity of the underlying condition of the lesion may range from relatively minor to life-threatening.
