MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Rodante Marcoleta will wear the standard orange detainee shirt and a protective vest when he is brought out of the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters at Camp Crame on Tuesday, the agency said.
Marcoleta was ordered by the Sandiganbayan Third Division to be brought to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) in Manila for a medical examination to determine whether he still needs to be confined as he faces a plunder case.

Marcoleta was arrested on July 6 over a plunder case in connection with a P75-million donation he accepted while he was still a party-list representative before his 2025 senatorial bid.
He was confined at the PNPGH after reportedly experiencing chest pains. He was subsequently diagnosed with hypertension and mild pneumonia.
The Sandiganbayan also ordered the PNP to bring Marcoleta before the court for his hearing on Wednesday, July 15. /mcm
