The Primary Group of Builders marked its 75th anniversary with the Ka-Tribu Run on July 11, 2026, bringing together employees, clients, business partners, stakeholders, and members of the community for a morning of fitness, camaraderie, and shared purpose.
By routing proceeds directly to PSEFI-SKILLS, the Primary Group of Builders connected its anniversary to an ongoing program with measurable outcomes for beneficiaries.
The fun run featured five race categories: 21K, 15K, 7.5K, 3K, and 1K. While early morning rain greeted participants at the starting line, it did little to dampen the energy as runners pushed through the course in celebration of the company’s milestone.
Every step supports a brighter future
The Ka-Tribu Run 2026 carried a meaningful cause, with all registration proceeds benefiting the Primary Structures Educational Foundation (PSEFI-SKILLS), supporting scholarships and skills training programs for out-of-school youth and unemployed individuals to help create better opportunities for their future.
Jessie Cubijano, Executive Director of PSEFI-SKILLS, said during the opening program that the Ka-Tribu Run was specifically designed to connect the 75th anniversary celebration to a concrete community benefit rather than a formal gathering.
He described the milestone as 75 years of building communities, workspaces, and structures while staying committed to the company’s mission of creating better futures for the people in the communities where it operates.
PSEFI-SKILLS is the corporate social responsibility arm of the Primary Group of Builders and uses its programs to provide technical skills training and life skills development for out-of-school youth, unemployed men and women, and individuals seeking to improve their employment prospects. The full proceeds from the Ka-Tribu Run registration fees will fund these programs.
Cubijano thanked participants for showing up despite the weather and acknowledged the volunteers, sponsors, donors, and partners who contributed to making the event possible.
Seventy-five years after its founding, the Primary Group of Builders marked another milestone not only by celebrating its past, but by continuing its commitment to building better tomorrows, one stride at a time.
The Ka-Tribu Run format reflects a growing approach among Cebu companies to mark institutional milestones through community events tied to social impact rather than through formal dinners or internal celebrations alone. By routing proceeds directly to PSEFI-SKILLS, the Primary Group of Builders connected its anniversary to an ongoing program with measurable outcomes for beneficiaries.
