Senior, 5 others arrested at a drug den in Pampanga

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a 64-year-old man and six other individuals during a raid of an alleged drug den in Barangay Dau here on Monday.

In a statement, PDEA Regional Office 3 identified the main suspect only by the alias “Eli,” who was tagged as the alleged maintainer of the drug den.

At around noon, PDEA agents, backed by police operatives, raided the suspect’s residence after an undercover operative successfully purchased a sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth)  from the 64-year-old man.

Six other men, aged 29 to 50, who were inside the drug den during the operation, were also arrested.

Authorities seized four sachets containing about 20 grams of suspected shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the marked money used in the buy-bust operation.

PDEA Regional Office 3 said the confiscated illegal drugs have an estimated street value of P136,000.
