In a statement issued Tuesday, Schools Division Superintendent Sherlita Palma said the decision to suspend in-person classes was made as a precaution as the Philippine National Police (PNP) verifies the authenticity and source of the online messages.
“Blended learning has been implemented for all learners of San Jose National High School effective July 14, 2026, while appropriate security assessments and investigative activities continue,” Palma said.
She stressed that the measure was adopted “solely out of an abundance of caution” to ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and school personnel.
Nilo Eder, information officer of the city schools division, said in-person classes could resume on Wednesday, July 15, unless authorities issue further advice./coa
