
LUCENA CITY – Four suspected drug traffickers were arrested in separate anti-narcotics operations in Quezon province on Monday and Tuesday, with authorities seizing more than P877,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) and three unlicensed handguns.
In a Tuesday report, the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) said its operatives arrested two suspects identified only by their aliases “Sandie” and “Tikboy” at around 3:27 a.m. on Tuesday in Barangay Manggalang Bantilan in Sariaya town after they allegedly sold 10 grams of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer during a buy-bust operation.
Recovered from the suspects were three heat-sealed plastic sachets and one knot-tied plastic sachet containing a total of 120 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P816,000, based on the Dangerous Drugs Board’s standard valuation.

Police also confiscated a motorcycle without a plate number, which is believed to have been used in the suspects’ alleged illegal activities, as well as a mobile phone that investigators will examine for possible evidence of drug transactions.
Police identified the two suspects as high-value individuals (HVIs) in the illegal drug trade, a classification that counts alleged drug traffickers, financiers, and members of drug syndicates.
In a separate operation, police serving a search warrant arrested a suspect identified as alias “Jessie” in Barangay Angeles Zone IV, Tayabas City, on Monday morning.
Authorities recovered three sachets containing suspected shabu valued at P40,800, an unlicensed caliber .45 pistol, two magazines, 15 rounds of ammunition, and a caliber .38 revolver which was loaded with 10 rounds.

Also on Monday, police served another search warrant against a suspect identified as alias “Carlos” in Barangay Bulakin I, Dolores, at around 9 a.m.
Seized from the suspect were two sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P20,672 and an unlicensed caliber .45 pistol loaded with seven rounds of ammunition. Police identified Carlos as a street-level drug personality on their watch list.

All four suspects will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Jessie and Carlos will also be charged with illegal possession of firearms./coa
