Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort has completed a full renovation of its meetings and events centre as it seeks to strengthen its position in the Algarve’s corporate and business tourism market.
The revamped facilities can host up to 900 participants and have been designed to accommodate conferences, incentive trips, corporate meetings, gala dinners, weddings and other large-scale events.
The project, led by Madrid-based architecture studio Bustelo Romero, included new sound and lighting systems, updated furnishings, improved climate control and a complete redesign of the interiors.
Among the main additions is the new Centeanes Room, created as a lounge and foyer for networking sessions, coffee breaks and group receptions.
The Carvoeiro Room has also been transformed into a multifunctional venue for both corporate and social events. Enhanced soundproofing means it can host entertainment and celebrations until 3am, including after-parties and closing dinners.
The Almansor Room now operates as a fully flexible ballroom that can be used as one large open space or divided into smaller areas. It can accommodate conferences, presentations, themed dinners, galas and other major events.
Integrated buffet stations allow meetings, presentations and meals to take place in the same room, while upgraded furniture and more efficient air-conditioning systems aim to improve comfort and ease of use.
Sustainability measures were also included in the renovation, including LED lighting and filtered water systems designed to reduce energy use and improve operational efficiency.
The resort now has seven meeting rooms, most with natural light and direct access to landscaped outdoor areas. The Almansor space can be divided into five independent rooms: Centeanes, Alfanzina, Algar Seco, Porches and Lagoa.
Pedro Moreira, general manager of Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort, said the renovation marked an important step in the hotel’s expansion within the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions market.
“We now offer a more modern, integrated and competitive product, prepared to host high-quality events and meet the expectations of the most demanding clients,” he said.
Set on the Vale Covo cliffs, the five-star resort has 248 rooms and suites and panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean.
Its events offering is supported by venues including The One Restaurant, Sky Bar Carvoeiro and Belvedere, a clifftop garden used for private functions and wedding ceremonies.
The hotel said the investment would also reinforce its position in the international wedding market, particularly among couples travelling from Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
