Portimão will once again stay awake long after sunset later this month as the third edition of Noitada Portimão transforms the city’s riverside and historic centre into a giant open-air festival of music, light and interactive art.
Taking place on July 24 and 25, the free event will feature live concerts, illuminated installations, a silent disco, laser displays and immersive experiences spread across several locations, offering entertainment for all ages.
Visitors will be able to experience a 3D Video Show, explore the illuminated Butterfly Garden and Laser Street, take part in the Silent Disco, and enjoy interactive light installations throughout the riverside and historic centre.
The Tempo Stage, near the municipal theatre, will once again host a silent disco where festivalgoers can choose between two DJs using wireless headphones.
Along the riverside, visitors can enjoy panoramic views from the Sky View by Labs installation, while other artistic light displays and illuminated mist effects will bring public spaces to life. Rua Direita will also feature a large-scale installation by Engi.studio, designed especially for the festival.
There will also be live music across three stages, with headlining performances from Kizomba star Badoxa and former Eurovision contestant Cláudia Pascoal.
With free admission and activities running throughout both evenings, organisers hope Noitada Portimão will once again attract thousands of residents and visitors to celebrate summer in the Algarve.
