
LUCENA CITY – The administration of Dasmariñas East Integrated High School (DEIHS) in Cavite province is investigating what it described only as an “incident” involving two students that occurred on July 13, while police have also launched a separate inquiry.
“Regarding the information circulating online, the administration of Dasmariñas East Integrated High School is taking the necessary steps to clarify and verify the facts surrounding the unexpected incident involving two students on Monday, July 13,” DEIHS said in Filipino in a statement posted on the school’s Facebook page on Monday night
In a separate statement issued on Tuesday morning, July 14, the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station confirmed that an incident involving minors had occurred.

Neither the police nor the school has disclosed the nature of the “incident.”

Local online news outlet “Dasmariñas City News and Updates” reported that two Grade 8 students were allegedly stabbed by a fellow student inside the school campus. As of Tuesday, authorities had not publicly confirmed that account.
DEIHS has appealed to the public to refrain from sharing unverified information that could fuel misinformation and distract from the ongoing investigation.
The school administration also said it is closely coordinating with the appropriate authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and reiterated that maintaining a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for students and school personnel remains its top priority.
Police said specific details concerning the “incident” are being withheld to protect the identities of the children involved and preserve the integrity of the investigation.

Authorities described the “incident” as isolated, adding that the situation has already been contained. They also said additional preventive and security measures are being implemented to help prevent similar incidents.
If the alleged violence at the school is confirmed, the incident would be the third reported case of school-related violence in Cavite since classes opened last month.

On June 16, seven Grade 5 pupils of Bethel Academy in General Trias City were injured after they were allegedly attacked by a Grade 8 female student armed with a kitchen knife.
The injured pupils were rushed to a hospital, with two later transferred to another medical facility for surgery due to the severity of their injuries. The alleged assailant was subsequently brought to a mental health facility for evaluation.
Three days later, on June 19, an 18-year-old senior high school student allegedly stabbed a fellow student at Cavite National High School in Cavite City following a heated argument, according to police investigators.
