
MANILA, Philippines — The impeachment court will rule on the request of the House prosecution panel to subpoena the bank and tax records of Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday, presiding officer Francis “Chiz” Escudero announced on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the sixth day of the Duterte’s impeachment trial, the prosecution and the defense are set to present their oral arguments in relation to the said request.

“We will decide as a body tomorrow,” Escudero said when Senator-judge Alan Peter Cayetano when the court would rule on the arguments.

Cayetano raised a concern on the matter citing that the two sides have submitted altogether around 65 pages of oral arguments.
After the presentation of oral arguments, the Senator-judges will enter a caucus to discuss the court’s ruling.
Per subpoena, each side will be given 15 minutes to present their oral arguments, and another 10 minutes each for a rebuttal. /jpv
