Jakarta (ANTARA) - Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya said the government will strengthen cooperatives by empowering village-based creative businesses through its 2026-2045 Creative Economy Master Plan, aiming to drive inclusive growth and expand regional economic opportunities.
The Creative Village Activation Program, part of the 2026-2045 Creative Economy Master Plan (Rindekraf), reflects the government's commitment to empowering communities, including those in disadvantaged, frontier, outermost and border (3TP) areas.
"Rindekraf also upholds the principle of inclusivity, or 'No One Left Behind,' by empowering youth, women, persons with disabilities, Indigenous Peoples, and communities in 3TP areas," Harsya said in a statement on Tuesday.
He said the Creative Village Activation Program supports President Prabowo Subianto's directive to strengthen cooperatives as a pillar of Indonesia's economic revival.
The program aims to develop local talent, increase the value of creative products and expand market access for village-based businesses.
The master plan also seeks to make the creative economy a new engine of national growth, creating jobs while improving public welfare through regionally driven development.
Harsya said the government began drafting the master plan in March 2025 using an evidence-based, participatory approach.
The process involved coordination with 35 ministries and agencies to ensure the blueprint reflects conditions and priorities across Indonesia.
"This collaborative process ensures the master plan reflects the needs of Indonesia's creative economy ecosystem while providing a clear implementation roadmap through 2045," he said.
