The mutilated body of an unidentified woman has been found along Barracks Road near the GRA Roundabout in Ondo town.
Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Ondo Police Command, DSP Jimoh Abayomi, confirmed this, saying police detectives who responded to a call discovered the headless body of the female victim.
According to him, preliminary observations revealed that several parts of the body had been mutilated, prompting an immediate investigation by the command.
“Upon arrival, the officers discovered the headless body of a female victim. Preliminary observations revealed that several parts of the body had been mutilated. Investigations have commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, identify the deceased, apprehend those responsible and establish the motive behind the gruesome act,” Abayomi stated.

The police spokesperson assured residents that the command is committed to uncovering those behind the crime and bringing them to justice.
He also urged members of the public with useful information that could assist the investigation to report to the nearest police station or contact the command through its emergency lines.
Abayomi added that the area remains calm and that adequate security measures have been put in place to safeguard residents while investigations continue.
