Bulletproof Culture has unveiled a bold vision for transforming the island into what it calls “the healthiest country in the world”, sharing a concept video packed with ambitious ideas to promote fitness, wellbeing and longevity.
The video opens by imagining Malta becoming the world’s healthiest nation for 24 hours before asking viewers what they would do to make it the fittest country on Earth.
Among the proposals are more walking and running trails, free gyms, outdoor fitness parks, saunas and spas, longevity clinics, and the creation of what the creators describe as the Mediterranean’s first “net positive health zone”.
The concept also reimagines an underutilised site with panoramic views of northern Malta, Comino and Gozo as a dedicated health and wellness destination.
Taking the idea even further, Bulletproof Malta proposes a pedestrian bridge connecting Malta and Gozo, complete with an outdoor gym and pull-up bars positioned halfway across the crossing to encourage exercise.
Perhaps the most eye-catching proposal is a so-called “biological age tax”, where people would be taxed based on their body’s biological age rather than their chronological age.
“The younger your body is, the less you pay,” the video says, arguing that healthier people place less strain on public services.
The video concludes by inviting viewers to share their own ideas for making Malta the healthiest country in the world.
What do you think of the ideas mentioned?
