EXCLUSIVE: UK producer Wall of Entertainment has struck a deal with an AI platform to help grow audiences for Tubi shows Substitute Teacher and House Rules.
Chronicle Media’s platform will simulate tens of thousands of niche audience segments to identify the largest fanbase possible for the shows via YouTube.
Both shows are hosted by influencers, with Charles Brockman III fronting Substitute Teacher and Laro Benz doing House Rules. Substitute Teacher is a character-driven comedy game show set in a high-school classroom that pits influencers against one another in challenges, while House Rules features two couples competing across four high-stakes rounds built around the chaos of life at home.
Helping with audience growth has been Chronicle’s MO since launching with backing from multiple investors last year, and it has worked across YouTube’s Chewed Up, Simply Symons and Why’d They Wear That?
The UK’s Wall of Entertainment, meanwhile, was founded in 2011 by actors Joivan Wade and Percelle Ascott and has been behind the likes of The Pink Courtroom and Does the Shoe Fit? for Pretty Little Thing and Footasylumm respectively.
“We’ve spent over a decade proving that premium formats built around creator talent can travel; 12 billion views across our catalog has shown that,” said Wade and Ascott. “The challenge in the U.S. isn’t the content, it’s connecting it to the right audience at the right moment. Chronicle solves that problem. Substitute Teacher and House Rules are exactly the kind of shows that win when they find their audience, and now they will.”
