Kevin Jonas Details Throwing Up During Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's First Date

For your perusing, at times confusing, lightly amusing, introducing Nick Jonas’ first DMs to Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Recounting their love story, the couple—who married in December 2018—revisited the first direct messages they exchanged on Twitter. Or more accurately, the pair held hands and cringed as Nick’s brothers Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas read their correspondence out loud on the July 14 episode of Hey Jonas.

Setting the scene, it all started when Kevin asked Nick if he watched Quantico, which Priyanka starred in from 2015 to 2018. Admittedly, the “Introducing Me” singer had not seen the ABC drama, but he was compelled to reach out to his future wife after seeing her on a billboard for the thriller series.

“Hello. I've heard from a few people that we should meet,” Joe quoted Nick’s first message to his now-wife. “I have to agree with these people.. Are you in LA anytime soon?”

And apparently their mutual friend Graham Rogers gave the Jonas Brothers member enough of a boost for the Citadel star to take their convo elsewhere. Kevin, as Priyanka, responded, “Hey.. Graham’s told me so much about you.. Let's text. More private. My team can access this.”

Reacting to his old messages, which Nick said were sent “about a year and a half” before they started dating in May 2018, the 33-year-old remarked, “It’s a sensible message.”

And further proving his sensibility, Nick had asked the 43-year-old to verify her identity when they first began texting, requesting a photo with a timestamp.

“I was like this guy is so sus of me already,” the Baywatch actress—who shares 4-year-old Malti Marie Chopra Jonas with the Power Ballad actor—joked. “But I appreciated it too.”

Beyond introducing the “Jealous” singer to Priyanka’s show, Kevin was also present for their first date, previously divulging some details from the evening that would make anyone send out an S.O.S.

“It was pretty great,” he recounted on the June 7 episode of their podcast. “I wingmanned hard. I wingmanned so hard I threw up in the bathroom and rallied.”
