The 25th anniversary edition of the NOG Energy Week Golf Tour will conclude on Thursday in Abuja, wrapping up four days of competition that serves as the traditional curtain-raiser to the annual NOG Energy Week Conference and Exhibition.
The golf tournament, which teed off on Sunday, has drawn golfers and stakeholders from Nigeria’s energy industry, blending sport with high-level business engagement ahead of the flagship conference.
While the main conference and exhibition are taking place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, the golf event is being staged alongside the summit, providing an informal platform for networking among policymakers, investors, executives and other key players in the energy sector.
According to the organisers, the tournament offers participants more than competitive golf, positioning it as a unique avenue for business interactions and relationship building.
A promotional message for the event described the competition as an opportunity for any “seasoned golfer looking to enjoy a day out on the green” to “take advantage of this unique chance to mingle with industry leaders while showcasing their golfing prowess.”
Beyond the fairways, participants are also engaging through the NOG Energy Club, an invitation-only networking platform created for ministers, senior government officials, captains of industry and C-suite executives across the energy and related sectors.
Organisers said the exclusive club provides a premium environment for strategic discussions and executive engagement.
“With its private, VIP-only meeting lounges, the NOG Energy Club offers industry decision-makers the opportunity to convene in a high-level strategic environment that affords privileged VIP access and first-class hospitality. A distinguished and elevated network for global influencers.”
The annual NOG Energy Week Conference and Exhibition has continued to establish itself as one of Africa’s leading energy gatherings, attracting policymakers, investors, technology providers and industry leaders from around the world to discuss strategies for strengthening energy security, driving investment and advancing innovation across the sector.
