Partner of slain U.S. marine biologist named person of interest

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol— Police have identified the live-in partner of slain American marine biologist Dr. Kent Carpenter as one of the persons of interest in the investigation into his fatal shooting in Sibulan, Negros Oriental. Carpenter, 73, was killed inside his home in Barangay Ajong, Sibulan, on Sunday evening. His Filipina live-in partner survived the attack after sustaining injuries.
