Police are investigating the deaths of two people found inside a car parked in a garage in Triq Salvu Busuttil, Wied il-Għajn.
At around 9pm yesterday, police were informed that a man and a woman had been found unconscious inside the vehicle. A medical team and members of the Civil Protection Department were called to the scene.
Unfortunately, the two individuals—a 47-year-old man from Żabbar and a 41-year-old woman from St Paul’s Bay—were certified dead.
Magistrate Dr Monica Borg Galea LL.D. was informed of the case and appointed several experts to assist in the inquiry.
An autopsy is expected to be carried out in the coming days to establish the cause of death.
While the involvement of third parties is, at this stage, being ruled out, police investigations into the case are ongoing.
