
MANILA, Philippines — The live-in partner of slain American marine biologist Kent Carpenter and her sibling are persons of interest in his killing in Sibulan, Negros Oriental, the provincial police said on Wednesday. “We can’t say they’re involved. But, for now, since she was left alive, probably, the suspects knew her,” Negros Oriental police chief Col. Timmar Alam told reporters in a phone interview.
