Malta was represented in Paris yesterday during celebrations marking France’s National Day, with numerous dignitaries attending the occasion.
Footage shared from the French capital showed aircraft flying overhead in formation, leaving blue, white and red smoke across the Paris skyline as part of the annual Bastille Day celebrations.
The video also appears to show Prime Minister Robert Abela and Lydia Abela among those representing Malta at the event.
Also known as Bastille Day, France’s National Day is celebrated every year on 14th July and commemorates the Storming of the Bastille in 1789, a defining moment of the French Revolution.
The occasion is marked by ceremonies across the country, with Paris hosting its most prominent celebrations, including military displays and official state events.
This year’s celebrations once again brought together representatives from numerous countries, with Malta among those present in the French capital.
