Apple TV‘s dark comedy Where’s Wanda? is coming back in October.
Season 2 of the German-language series from UFA Fiction will return on October 21, with new episodes dropping weekly through December 9. We’ve got three first-look images above and below.
The eight-parter stars Heike Makatsch (Love Actually), Axel Stein (The Vault), Lea Drinda (The Gryphon), Leo Simon and Nikeata Thompson (Späti). Oliver Lansley is the co-creator, writer and executive producer
Season 1 followed Makatsch and Stein as the Klatts, a couple searching for their missing daughter, Wanda (Drinda) in a small fictional town readying a festival centered around a local monster myth.
In Season 2, the Klatts are finally getting back to normality until Wanda is caught seemingly red-handed standing over a dead body. They undertake their own investigation to prove her innocence, with their search for the real murderer taking them into the criminal underbelly of their sleepy town.
Lansley co-created Season 2 alongside executive producers Nataly Kudiabor and Oliver Ossege. The series was co-created by Zoltan Spirandelli, who wrote the story on which it’s based, with Tobi Baumann and Christian Ditter the directors.
Where’s Wanda? was Apple TV’s first greenlight from Germany back in 2023. Season 2 was confirmed earlier this year.
