Jessica Camilleri has been identified as the second victim in the tragic incident that also claimed the life of well-known DJ Ryan Spiteri in Marsaskala.
The 41-year-old from St Paul’s Bay worked as a social worker with Appoġġ.
Camilleri and Spiteri were found unresponsive inside a parked car in a garage on Triq Salvu Busuttil, Marsaskala, shortly after 9pm on Tuesday.
In a statement issued today, police confirmed that autopsies concluded both deaths were accidental and caused by carbon monoxide poisoning. Investigators determined that the gas accumulated while the vehicle was running inside the enclosed garage, reportedly with the air conditioning switched on.
Police investigations and the magisterial inquiry into the incident remain ongoing.
Lovin Malta extends its heartfelt condolences to Jessica Camilleri’s family, friends and colleagues, as well as to everyone mourning Ryan Spiteri’s passing.
