In a town where looking effortlessly preserved is practically a job requirement, aesthetics in Hollywood has never been more advanced, or more costly. From injections and energy-based treatments to breast enhancement with donor-derived fat and deep plane facelifts, here’s what it actually costs for head-to-toe rejuvenation in Tinseltown and what you may spend well after leaving the operating room. Note: Always consult a trusted, licensed provider — whether that’s a board-certified plastic surgeon, dermatologist, aesthetician or aesthetic nurse — to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your anatomy, aesthetic goals, lifestyle and budget; fees can vary from one practitioner to another based on expertise, location and the complexity of the treatment or procedure.
Under $3,000 — The No-Surgery Starter Plan
Acid Peels PRX, known to trigger the production of collagen, is a blend of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and kojic acid to brighten and even skin tone. An initial series can consist of four to six sessions, spaced about one week apart. Maintenance treatments are usually every three to six months, depending on treatment goals. From $350.
Botox The workhorse of any maintenance regimen, Botox, as well as other neuromodulators like Dysport and Daxxify, run between $14 to $30 per unit, depending on the provider. Patients typically need 64 injected units, which covers the forehead, in between the eyes (also known as “the 11s”) and crow’s feet. Follow-up appointments are typically suggested every three to four months. From $890 for a full face.
Fillers Juvéderm, Restylane, Obagi Magiq with Chiq and anything from the RHA collection are hyaluronic acid or dermal fillers for lips, cheeks, chin, temples and smile lines. Treatments may require a minimum of half a syringe for the lips, one syringe per cheek and one syringe for the nasolabial folds, or smile lines. From $700 to $2,000 per syringe.
Collagen-Stimulating Injectables Biostimulators like Sculptra, Hyperdilute Radiesse and Renuva (which is, by the way, derived from donated human fat tissue) stimulate collagen and elastin to restore volume, and are designed to deliver a more natural, rejuvenated appearance than dermal fillers. Results are visible over a few months. Typically, one to two syringes per area, like the cheeks or jawline, are used in a session as part of a series. From $950 to $2,500 per syringe.
Combination Sculpting Treatment Combining red light therapy (to help reduce inches of fat, tighten skin, boost collagen and reduce inflammation) with muscle stimulation (to replicate three hours of exercise) and cryotherapy, these noninvasive, zero-downtime modalities, including MedWave, Vive and Cryo Selene, are a go-to for awards show attendees. Available only at Shapetress Wellness Club in Santa Monica (from $199) or may be booked as an in-home concierge service in Los Angeles County and select areas of Orange County and San Diego (from $750).
Under $5,000 — Energy Devices to Tighten Things Up
CO2 CoolPeel To target deeper lines and sun damage, this form of CO2, also known as fractional laser resurfacing, uses tiny laser beams to create microscopic skin damage that triggers healing via collagen and elastin production. Safe for all skin types with minimal downtime. From $1,100 for face and neck.
XERF A dual-frequency radiofrequency treatment heats up multiple dermal depths to firm up skin, improve elasticity and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. On the pain scale, it’s considered quite tolerable, with no advance numbing required. From $1,500.
Sylfirm X To help tighten and resurface skin, and decrease pigmentation and redness (aka melasma), this microneedling RF device combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. The former creates controlled microinjuries while the latter heats up deeper skin layers, both of which stimulate collagen production. Safe for all types of skin and areas of the face and body. From $1,500 for face and neck.
Onda Think of this as targeted, nonsurgical lipo, with little discomfort and no pre-numbing needed. The microwave energy device, designed to reduce localized fat, is often used to tighten the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms and the submental area, or under the chin. From $1,000.
Sofwave Using high-frequency sound waves, or ultrasound-based technology, this treatment stimulates the almighty youth-bringing collagen to lift and tighten areas like the brow, neck, décolletage and upper arms, with minimal downtime, though advance numbing is necessary. From $2,500 for full-face treatment.
Everesse For mild to moderate facial and neck sagginess (known as laxity among pros), this nonsurgical skin tightening treatment uses monopolar-radiofrequency (RF) energy to wake up your skin’s natural collagen-producing cells. It delivers deep dermal heating to stimulate collagen, which in turn lifts and tightens skin. No advance numbing is required; minimal discomfort. From $3,000 for face and neck.
Ellacor Tiny hollow needles take out minute columns of excess skin in what’s called micro-coring technology, which tightens and contours without the use of heat, traditional surgery or scarring. Advance numbing required. From $3,500.
KeraLase This noninvasive hair restoration technique combines laser-created microchannels with growth factor serum to improve hair density and thickness. From $700.
Under $20,000 — Partial or Spot Surgeries
Anesthesia (from $1,500) and surgery center fees (from $2,000) vary according to procedure and are not included in the below. Nor are recovery costs, which can range from in-office LED light therapy sessions at $25 a visit, to post-surgical facility stays starting at $2,600 a night; for more information, scroll to the end.
Eyelid Surgery Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is composed of two parts: An upper bleph involves removing hooded upper-lid skin; from $7,500. (If drooping impairs vision, an upper bleph may qualify for partial insurance coverage, and if the procedure is performed in-office under anesthesia, you can subtract the surgery center fee of, minimally, $1,000.) A lower bleph addresses under-eye bags; from $8,500.
Endoscopic Brow Lift A brow lift, also known as a brow reset, repositions and recontours a drooping or heavy brow to improve the aesthetics of the forehead and upper eyelids. The procedure typically uses a small camera and tiny incisions, and is often performed alongside an upper blepharoplasty. From $8,500.
Nose Job Rhinoplasties refine nose shape and appearance. From $12,000.
Mini-Liposuction Lipo that focuses on one area: hips and flanks, central abdomen or upper arms. From $10,000.
Breast Lift A mastopexy addresses sagging and improves breast shape. From $10,000.
Breast Implants Silicone implants increase volume and improve shape and projection. The newer and less invasive Preservé by Motiva technique uses a smaller incision and smaller implants with gentler placement than traditional implants, and is said to offer faster recovery. From $15,000.
Fat-Transfer Breast Augmentation Using the patient’s own fat harvested via liposuction from thighs, tummy or butt, this natural alternative avoids synthetic implants entirely, with more subtle results of up to one cup size increase. From $15,000.
Breast Reduction This surgery reshapes and reduces breast volume. May be partially or fully covered by insurance when medically necessary. From $15,000.
Under $50,000 — Entry Level Facelifts and Breast and Body Contouring
Anesthesia and/or recovery facility fees are additional.
Breast and Body Contouring Thanks to an assist from the dearly departed, AlloClae, a regenerative, deceased-donor-derived fat injectable, restores lost volume and subtly enhances breast and body contours without liposuction. It is designed for modest enhancement (a half- to full-cup breast increase) and can be performed during a simple, in-office procedure under local anesthesia with minimal downtime. From $25,000.
Full-Body or Multiple-Area Liposuction The whole kit and caboodle, so to speak, includes hips, flanks, “love handles,” upper arms and the central abdomen. From $25,000.
Neck Lift Often combined with a facelift, the neck lift is performed in both younger and mature individuals as a stand-alone procedure to create a more defined, contoured profile. From $30,000.
Deep Plane Facelift The gold standard for facial rejuvenation can cost from $40,000 for newer surgeons or fellows, i.e., entry-level surgeons working alongside one of the maestros, on up.
$75,000 to $300,000 — Celebrity Plastic Surgeon Facelift Territory
At the very top of the market, some of Hollywood’s most in-demand plastic surgeons don’t publish price lists, but their facelift fees can be staggering. Surgical costs alone can begin at $75,000. All in for a comprehensive face plus neck lift can run between $150,000 and $350,000.
The Hidden Costs of Post-Operative Recovery
The price tag doesn’t end when you leave the operating room. Recovery is half the battle, and its own investment, given cutting corners can undermine a $200,000 facelift.
Post-Surgical Retreats Posh aftercare hideaways like Luxe Serenity at Luxe Hotel, in the Brentwood-Bel-Air neighborhood of Los Angeles, set the recovery standard with 24/7 one-on-one nursing care, refined accommodations with private patios, dispensing of medications, nutritionally optimized menus and add-ons like hair washing and styling, and LED therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) to accelerate healing and reduce inflammation. A one-night stay is often sufficient for a combined upper and lower blepharoplasty. With a facelift, a minimum of one to three nights may be suggested; the upper end of this range is more common when combined with other procedures like blepharoplasty, brow lift or fat grafting, thanks to increased swelling, drain care and medication monitoring during the first 48 to 72 hours. For “mommy makeovers,” which often include lipo, breast work and a tummy tuck, or a breast reduction, surgeons may suggest two to three nights, especially with multiple incisions, drains or limited mobility in the early recovery period. From $2,600 per night.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Sessions Suggested before and after major surgical procedures, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is said to accelerate tissue healing by increasing blood supply to disrupted surgical sites. From $300 per session.
LED Light Therapy Low-level light therapy helps reduce inflammation and supports healing. Professional in-office sessions cost from $25 per session. For ongoing home maintenance, there is a whole cottage industry of LED light devices like CurrentBody Flex LED Mask ($470) and TheraFace Mask ($380).
Scar Management Starting weeks post-surgery and continuing for months, silicone scar-covering products like BioCorneum Plus SPF 30, NewGel+UV and Silagen help with gradual fading and healing of incisions; from $36.
