MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) on Thursday warned the public about social media accounts falsely claiming to represent the National African Swine Fever Prevention and Control Program (NASFPCP).
The BAI said Wednesday that the NASFPCP does not promote or have any affiliation with any product feeds. It further said that the agency is already investigating and monitoring the activities of fake social media handlers.
It also listed the following pages tagged as fake account and unaffiliated with the NASFPCP:

The BAI, moreover, encouraged the public to be vigilant and refrain from contacting or providing personal information to non-official channels.
“We urge the public to be cautious, as these pages are not authorized to represent the Program. We are actively investigating these activities and monitoring misinformation that undermines our initiatives,” BAI said.
The BAI also provided the official social media pages of the program as follows:
Facebook: facebook.com/nasfpcp
Twitter/X: twitter.com/nasfpcp
Instagram: instagram.com/nasfpcp
The agency advised the public to report any account using the official logo and branding for unauthorized business operations. — Rendell Manuel, INQUIRER.net trainee /das
