Alex Borg Breaks Eddie Fenech Adami’s Record With Historic 98.2% Confidence Vote

PN Leader Alex Borg has made Nationalist Party history after securing an unprecedented 98.2% vote of confidence, breaking the previous record held by former Prime Minister Eddie Fenech Adami.

The overwhelming result marks the strongest endorsement ever received in the party’s history, with supporters rallying behind Borg in what many are describing as a landmark moment for the PN.

Following the announcement, Borg’s partner, Sarah Bajada, took to Facebook to congratulate him with an emotional tribute.

“Seeing Alex receive a 98.2% vote of confidence is far more than just a number. It’s a reflection of the trust people have in his integrity, his hard work, and his unwavering commitment to serve,” she wrote.

Bajada said she had witnessed “the long nights, the difficult decisions and the sacrifices” that led to this moment, adding that she “couldn’t be prouder” of Borg and promising to remain by his side.

“I’ll be right beside you, just as I always have been. This is just the beginning,” she concluded.

Former PN leader Adrian Delia also reacted to the historic result, posting a short but pointed message on social media:

“Dan għadu biss il-bidu. #OnlyJustStarting”

With a record-breaking mandate behind him, Borg now begins the next chapter of his political journey with the strongest vote of confidence the Nationalist Party has ever given one of its leaders.
