
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines and South Korea have partnered to advance fisheries biotechnology and strengthen research capabilities in the country’s fisheries and aquaculture sector. The Department of Agriculture-National Fisheries Research and Development Institute (DA-NFRDI), through its Fisheries Biotechnology Center (FBC), held a kickoff mission and meeting with representatives from Pukyong National University and the Korea Coastal Management Association on July 13 and 14, 2026, in Quezon City and Nueva Ecija.
