
MANILA, Philippines – Official inflation data shapes Filipino households’ price expectations, especially during periods of persistently high inflation, a Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) study found. The findings suggest that credible inflation statistics help keep long-term expectations in check by preventing temporary price spikes from turning into entrenched inflation fears.
