Nicki Minaj defends Trump adviser in feud with House Republican

Rapper Nicki Minaj took to social media to defend her friend Alex Bruesewitz, a top outside adviser to President Trump, after Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.) reportedly pushed for the president to cut ties with Bruesewitz.

“Randy, Alex will be just FINE,” Minaj wrote on the social platform X in response to a NOTUS report that Fine told White House officials he would “vote against every rule on the floor until Trump fires Bruesewitz.”

Fine, a close ally of Trump’s and a vocal defender of Israel, was the lone House Republican to vote against a rule setting up floor debate on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE America) Act on Tuesday — a top priority for Trump.

According to NOTUS, Fine told colleagues that he will continue to vote against every rule until Trump fires Bruesewitz.

Bruesewitz, who is not a White House employee, has been a vocal critic of foreign-funded campaigns and influence, including those tied to Israel.

Minaj, who has dubbed herself as Trump’s “No. 1 fan” and has worked with the Trump administration on several initiatives — including the debut of the Trump Accounts — sought to cool down the feud while throwing her support behind her friend.

“100% LOYALTY to our President. 100% LOVED by the Barbz,” Minaj said, referring to her dedicated fan base.

Bruesewitz, 29, thanked the rapper for publicly backing him.

“I am grateful for Nicki Minaj’s support. I will also always have her back!” Bruesewitz told The Hill.

The NOTUS report was the first time Bruesewitz said he heard of Fine’s effort, which could become troublesome for the GOP’s already slim majority.

“Doesn’t this seem insane?” he wrote on social media. “I simply don’t want ANY foreign countries funding online social media campaigns aimed at undermining the USA! Why is that controversial?”

In a social media post last month, Fine likened Bruesewitz to conservative commentators Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens, former MAGA allies who clashed with Trump after criticizing his handling of foreign conflict and Israel.

“There is a mind virus that is trying to infect the Republican party,” Fine wrote. “Tucker, Alex Bruesewitz, and Candace Owens fundamentally hate the American origin story.”

He accused the trio of pitting Jewish people against Christians, adding that it was “one of the biggest issues” the Republican Party faces.

Bruesewitz emerged as a key figure in Trump’s digital strategy during the 2024 presidential campaign, helping expand the president’s reach with Gen-Z voters through podcast appearances and meme-driven content on social media. He also played a key role in Minaj’s involvement with the MAGA moment.

According to Politico, Susie Wiles — who was the co-campaign manager at the time — tapped Bruesewitz to oversee the campaign’s podcast strategy after he helped prepare Trump for his widely viewed appearance with popular online streamer Adin Ross.

Bruesewitz also helped bring a range of celebrities and influencers into Trump’s orbit, from “Wedding Crashers” star Vince Vaughn to influencers Jake and Logan Paul. The Paul brothers interviewed Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump earlier this year.
