Eternal Happiness convention draws 5,500 in Laguna

MANILA, Philippines — More than 5,500 people attended the three-day “Eternal Happiness” Bible-based convention at the Jose Rizal Coliseum in Calamba, Laguna, over the weekend, bringing together disaster relief volunteers and families they had assisted during times of crisis. Among those who attended were disaster victims and members of the Disaster Relief Committee (DRC) of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Philippines, who reunited after working together in disaster response efforts. “They want to know how to be happy and how to remain happy despite economic uncertainty,” said James Morales, spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Philippines.
