
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday assured Filipino seafarers that the government will always be ready to provide assistance as they navigate conflict-affected waters in the Middle East. He made the remarks during the commencement exercises of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) “Salighirang” Class of 2026, where 327 midshipmen graduated—146 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation and 181 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering.
