Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Air Force has deployed five T-50i Golden Eagle fighter jets to a multinational air exercise hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force in Darwin from July 17 to August 7, aiming to strengthen operational capabilities and international defense ties.
The aircraft and their crews were officially dispatched by Air Operations Command Chief Air Vice Marshal Djoko Hadipurwanto at Iswahjudi Air Base in Magetan, East Java, on Wednesday, according to a statement received in Jakarta on Friday.
Djoko said the exercise is among the world's most prestigious air combat drills, bringing together military personnel from 20 partner nations to train in complex multinational operations.
He urged Indonesian Air Force personnel to deliver their best performance throughout the exercise, saying their participation represents Indonesia on the international stage.
Djoko also reminded T-50i pilots and support crews to strictly comply with safety and operational standards during the joint training to ensure safe and effective mission execution.
"All personnel should use this exercise to enhance their capabilities, broaden their knowledge and gain experience in modern air operations while maintaining the highest standards of flight and workplace safety," he said.
Djoko said he expects the exercise to enhance the Indonesian Air Force's international standing while strengthening bilateral defense ties with other participating countries.
