In a separate statement, the Eastern Police District (EPD) said it was coordinating with the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group to authenticate the supposedly circulating messages and trace their origin.
The EPD added that it intensified police visibility and patrol operations around schools in Mandaluyong as part of security measures.
“The EPD encourages everyone to remain vigilant, avoid sharing unverified information on social media, and immediately report any suspicious persons, activities, or online posts to the nearest police station or through the Eastern Police District’s official communication channels,” it further said.
